Here's a place where you can express your admiration to one of the best U2 albums around - the highly underrated Zooropa, the boys' journey to the Dark Side!
I have to tell, that I first hated this LP with a passion when it came out back in 1993, I just didn't know what to do with it and sank it to the deepest pit of albums...and opened it again this year, 14 years later. What a shining diamond this album is!! I enjoyed every minute of it (well, nearly every minute, Babyface is still a weak tune), and it immediately received the 'classic' label, and catapulted to no 3 of my U2 album list (after R&H and AB). The atmosphere, the production and the songs themselves...the title track (has to be one of U2's finest moments ever), Numb, Lemon, Stay, SDABTO, Dirty Day, TFT, DGPFYCC, and the outstanding 'The Wanderer'...just got to love them all!

What do you like the most about the Zooropa album?
clearly a wonderfull album, outstanding tunes from zooropa to the wanderer (live version!!), i agree with you about babyface, it's one of the weakest ever.
stay(one of the best songs ever made by u2),lemon(amazing tune),zooropa(awesome),Numb(sometimes i am like that)the first time(beautiful)are my favourite from the album!!!!
What do you like the most about the Zooropa album?
Highlights of things that came from the Zooropa album:
Live Outside Broadcast versions of "Daddy's Gonna Pay..."
The only live performance of "The Wanderer"
Acoustic versions of "Stay" from the Elevation Tour
Craig Armstrong remix of "Stay"
Acoustic versions of "The First Time" from the Vertigo Tour
Album versions of "Babyface" and "Lemon"
The Wanderer is the highlight for me. Babyface too. It's curious, back in 93 I thought if a newcomer had recorded it, Zooropa would have become album of the year. I think there were too many comparision to other u2 albums.
A great album, but I don't like Some Days are Better than Others and The Wanderer... The rest of the album is 100% awesome (love Zooropa - the song - especially)
"some days" I dont like musically . If it were to be redone, ok then. but lyrically it is awesome ,you cant honestly tell me that you've never had one of those days. c'mon we all have

How about the live version of The Wanderer though??
the live version is a legend, one of the best ever
Absolutely.
I love Babyface, think it's a great little throwaway tune.
The only song I skip is DGPFYCC. I cannot stand this song. It is my least favourite U2 song ever, slightly worse than Miami. Even live (where I will admit both these songs were better) I will still skip it.
Zooropa, Stay, Lemon, Dirty Day and The First Time are exemplary songs.
Just like the Pop album this album is really underrated. The title song is a masterpiece, just like Stay and Lemon. Daddy's Gonna Pay For Your Crashed Car, The First Time, Dirty Day and The Wanderer are great songs, performed live they're even better. Only Some Days Are Better Than Others is a song I don't really get. Great lyrics, though. And last but not least, the album art is fantastic ofcourse
Zooropa isn't U2's best one, but certainly a fantastic album.
